My wife told me we should buy a paper map of Bulgaria and to mark there all places, we have already visited since our immigration here in 05.09.2022.

Сегодня заопенсорсил свои собственные конфиги для #Guix System. Там конфигурации для двух лаптопов, одного сервера и одного выходного узла (exit node) на основе древнего нотубука, которым пользуется мой знакомый для выхода в сеть из той страны, где Интернета уже практически не осталось.

Yes, it is sometimes a bad idea to have minimal config and trust default values, which can be changed in new versions. :)

Updated #gotosocial upto 0.20.0-rc1 under Guix System. Had a small issue related to absent option db-type in my configuration file, but fixed it quickly.

I had an interview. Among other questions, they asked me why I chose this particular language/development stack and not another one, since the other one is more popular. I replied that the other language is a kind of inconsistent, feels unfinished, unsafe, with a stone-age concurrency model, a very strange dependency management system, and a primitive scheduler. Later, in the feedback, I was told that I was supposedly toxic and not a good fit. Of course, I should have answered, “that language is great, but I prefer another because it is blah-blah-blah better choice for my tasks”, but that would’ve been hypocrisy — it’s not great at all.

What about my own matrix server software? It was frozen due to a lack of motivation and interest forward the technology/protocol. May be until some better time, who knows.

Для чего мне собственный экземпляр федивёрса? Для того, чтобы писать всё, что мне вздумается, а не только то, что в рамках правил чужого сервера. Кроме всего прочего я убеждён в том, что пользователь имеет полное право быть настоящим владельцем своего контента, а это осуществимо только в том случае, когда пользователь выкладывает контент на свой личный ресурс, к которому имеет полный доступ, а не в какой-нибудь "социальный сервис" к условному цукербрину/дурову.

#Эсперанто считаю самым лучшим (человеческим) языком в мире. И это единственный интернациональный язык, который по праву заслуживает быть таковым в отличие от некоторых других более распространённых. Это язык с очень простой грамматикой и в то же время очень мощный. В этом языке нет ни одного исключения, а т.к. он фонетический, там всё как написано, так и читается, а ударение всегда ставится на предпоследний слог, так же нет ни чем логически не обоснованной хуйни, присущей другим языкам. Ко всему прочему отсутствует имперский привкус и дискриминация (когда у кого-то родной, а у кого-то кривой). Очень жаль, что человечеством не востребованы такие прекрасные изобретения. Вообще, человечество склонно жрать всякое говно. :)

#Esperanto is the best (human) language in the world and the only one which is suggested to be an international language. The grammar is so simple and yet powerful, and there is no exceptions at all. It is a phonetic language, without weird spelling and other shitty/legacy things. It also has no imperial taste and no discrimination. It is a pity that such wonderful language is so underrated by the people and used only by inter-lingua enthusiasts.

I learned it first at the end of 90's, but since that almost everything was forgotten. A few months ago I got an Esperanto tutorial book in my hands, which I have read until the last page. Now I have an ability to read any texts (with dictionary).

Wow! Federation seems to work fine now. At first I had some issues related to improper reverse proxy configuration, but after consulting with docs, everything was fixed. Many thanks to #gotosocial authors for a really lightweight #fediverse server for one person usage.
